As a sportbike rider, this whole !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! debacle doesn't sit all that well with me. I see a bunch of rabid dogs dressed up as humans and senselessly attacking an innocent public. Even more fascinating, is the idea that someone who acts this badly would feel the need to document it and upload it to YouTube so that it can go viral. Yesterday, there were a lot more videos of this event under the uploader's profile: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Now, in an unexpected turn, the uploader has been photographed along with a group of scumbags that will hopefully go to the bighouse for an enjoyable, relaxing pound-me-in-the-ass vacation from society.

I'm a biker too. Some car driver's behaviour is inexcusable. I've punched one or two wing mirrors right off in my time, with my carbon knuckles - but only when my life has been put in danger by dangerous driving, often done on purpose.
However, having said that, the behaviour of the bikers in the video was also inexcusable. The RR Sport driver must have been scared shitless. It's no wonder he fled, and crashed over the bikes at the start of the video. I would have done the same. The bikers who attacked him should be prosecuted

The amount of retarded talk in the FP about this incident is disgusting.

looks like they went after the wife's window, and why in the hell is the rear door open where the 2 year old kid was? Scary

I still think these idiots got lucky. I wouldn't have felt bad for them at all if he ran them over and I think they are also extremely lucky he didn't have a gun or the will to really run them over. You do that in the North West and it's a good chance you will be shot either by the guy you are attacking or another good Samaritan coming to his aid.

The window looks damaged. The whole thing reminds me of wilding oncidnts which were trending a decade plus ago in NYC. People just act weird when they get in groups.
Also, the person who posted all of this is going to have some interesting discussions in their future, both with friends and with the authorities.

From what I've read, they succeeded in getting the driver's door and one of the rear doors open, but thankfully left the child inside the car.

Yet another reason I have only been to NYC twice and don't really have any desire to go back.

Assholes. You know, I almost understood knocking out the driver window (understood where they were coming from, not that I support it in any way) but the passenger doesn't have control of the vehicle to go running people over. Either way, a bunch of fucking jackasses.

The pack mentality. As a rider too, I refuse to ride with more that 3 other people. Sport bike riders seem to be more likely to act like assholes.

Last time I was there, the guy behind me tried to pick a fight with me. It was tense until the light changed.
Once you leave your vehicle to engage in any altercations, you are basically toast as far as cops go. Stay in your car and get away from the morons.
That said I love visiting NYC.

Whoah whoah whoah, inexcusible or not you punched out mirrors?
That seems a little excessive.

This would not have gotten far where I live because of conceal carry. You threaten my wife and kid and you are not going to have a good time of it.

front wheel completely tyreless really confirms the early mentions of them slashing tyres when he stopped after the first incident. I would have taken off too!
And the start of the video showing the driver's side mirror already broken, there is more to the story than their video captures.

For what it's worth, knocking off a mirror doesn't exactly dispel any of the stereotypes the public may have of motorcyclists. We are already a fringe group and it certainly doesn't help to damage another motorists vehicle. I haven't had anyone ever (that I know of, at least) intentionally try to hurt me while I was on my bike.
I have had plenty of close calls due to people just being inattentive drivers. Sure seems like it's more prevalent now with all of the phones and texting than it was in the 80's and 90's. If it happens that I can let them know without coming across as threatening (keeping in mind that I ride with full leathers and tinted full face helmet), I will do it with a quick chat at the next stoplight or a wave to let them know that I really was there where they didn't notice me. I can't imagine a situation where I would feel that kicking the door or knocking a mirror off was the correct solution.

To clarify, it's happened twice. Once when stuck on a roundabout. I was already hemmed in and a car moved so close to me he was going to crush my right thigh if I didn't lean over so far as to fall off. Second was when a car moved across lanes and into me on 2 lane highway at about 50mph. I ended up on the dusty part in the central reservation and narrowly avoided being totalled. His mirror got a punch when we all came to a stop

Having someone change lanes into you is potentially lethal. You swerve out of the way, hopefully safely, beep your horn (or air horns which I had) at the driver and then try to stay away from the person. It escalates when the driver goes ballistic and starts screaming at you or making suggestions in sign language.
Then, THEN as you are turning right at an intersection they come so close to you that your bar end is clipped by their mirror. I came within a nonometer of highsiding over a curb and I had a passenger. Real white knuckle stuff. Wow. Next light. Their shouting at me has has already upset their kids in the car oh, and the passenger is screaming abuse.
Bad day for me as a rider, I was fairly upset but did nothing more then ask the driver why she wanted to kill me. She merely vomited abusive language at me and thank god my girlfriend was there to calm me down or I was so going to jail.
I was about one second from doing something very, very stupid. Imagine the eyewitness accounts, guy in black leathers drags fat, vapid, greasy haired trailer trash woman out of her Dodge Caravan and sternly rebukes her. I am certain my harsh language would have undone her moral and ethical universe, resulting in her becoming a better citizen and a nicer person.
